A right move or a risky move? As parents you be the judge! Via Bernama:
" The Education Ministry will not resort to closing all schools which have students tested positive for Influenza A (H1N1) as this could disrupt learning.
Education Director-General Tan Sri Alimuddin Md Dom said school closure would only be done as a last resort and if the Health Ministry recommended so.
"The recommendation will then be forwarded to the State Education Director because only he has the power to order a school to close," he told Bernama when asked to comment on the case of 12 students tested positive for the disease.
Nine of the students are from SM Agama Ad-Diniah Al-Islamiah Kuala Kangsar, Perak, two from SJKC Sin Hwa in Batu Pahat, Johor, and another from the Immigration quarters in Padang Besar, Perlis.Alimuddin urged parents to stay calm as the situation was under control.
He said circulars had been issued to schools asking them to monitor their students daily."Schools have been provided with thermometers to measure the body temperature of students, and those found to have symptoms such as fever or cough will immediately be separated and sent to the clinic or hospital.
"Students with H1N1 symptoms are not allowed to attend school," he said."
