Via The Star:
" SCHOOLS in Sarawak are required to resume checks on the temperature of students as a safeguard against the Influenza A H1N1 virus.
State education director Datuk Dr Julaihi Bujang said the schools should step up precautionary measures though there had been no reports of deaths from the virus in Sarawak this year.
He pointed out that a circular issued during the first wave of the H1N1 outbreak was still in effect and the Education Ministry had issued a reminder recently.
“To follow the guidelines strictly, the schools should check the temperature as before,” he told reporters after opening the Sarawak School Sports Council’s 38th inter-school sports meet in Kuching yesterday.
He said that schools should be on high alert if a number of its students were ill.
Parents should play their part by not sending children who were ill to school."
