" Thiruvananthapuram: One more person succumbed to influenza A(H1N1) while as many as 11 fresh cases were reported from all over the State on Sunday. While six cases were reported from Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam had two cases and Kollam, Malappuram and Thrissur, one each.
The Health Department confirmed that the death of Brijimol, 23, a resident of Kulathur, Thiruvananthapuram, at the Medical College Hospital here on Saturday was due to H1N1. She had died of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and Myocarditis.
While three H1N1 positive patients were kept under hospital quarantine on Sunday, 18 were advised home quarantine. Throat swabs were collected from 19 suspected cases for detailed analysis.
The number of H1N1 cases in Kerala has gone up to 206 while 16 persons have succumbed to the flu."
