"Another South Korean dancer died Monday following a bout of malaria she contracted during a trip to Africa ahead of the World Cup, marking the second such death in her troupe, according to Yonhap News.
Koh Eun-joo, 34, a performer with the National Center for Korean Folk Performing Arts, was one of 45 Korean dancers and taekwondo performers who participated in the Korean Culture Festival held in South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt and Turkey from May 20 to June 2 for the World Cup, said the Korean Culture and Information Service that organized the event.
Earlier on June 24, Kim Su-yeon, 27, another dancer of the same state-funded organization, died of high fever and other complications from malaria. Both had been hospitalized immediately after returning home on June 5."
