" DENGUE cases in Negros Oriental province are still rising with a total of nine deaths recorded so far, according to the Department of Health (DOH).
Doctor Socrates Villamor, chief of the Provincial Epidemiology Surveillance Unit (Pesu) here, said there were 263 new cases within one week from September 9 to 16 with one death.
He added that from January 1 to September 16, a total of 1,101 dengue cases were recorded, a 13 percent increase compared to last year of the same period with 950 cases with four deaths."
