Pakistan : Top official dies of dengue fever in Lahore

" The dengue fever caused by the bite of a special kind of mosquito that breeds in the clean water sent a shock wave and scare among people as a senior bureaucrat died of the disease in Lahore, the main place of the ailment, on Monday.

The Secretary of the Mineral Development Corporation of Punjab, Ataullah Siddiqui died of dengue fever. He was hospitalised three days ago after he was diagnosed with the fever.Siddiqui joined the government service in 1985.

He has left a widow, two daughters and a son to mourn.Besides, a son of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and an MP are convalescing in different Lahore hospital after they contracted the diseaseA top medical specialist, who was struck by the dengue fever, has recovered. He is known for treating the dengue fever patients."
