" PANAJI: Thirteen persons have tested positive for chikungunya in the very first week of the new year.
According to official statistics provided by directorate of health services, 42 samples were collected and sent for examination to the GMC's microbiology department of which 13 have tested positive for chikungunya.
Of the positive cases, three are from Vasco, two each are from Aldona primary heath centre, Canacona and Panaji urban health centre.The others are from Valpoi, Colvale, Mapusa and Casarvarnem."
