Via Hong Kong's Centre for Health Protection :
" Four female patients (aged 32 to 57) and a staff member in a long-stay ward had presented with respiratory symptoms since August 5. Appropriate viral tests had been arranged for the patients and test results of two patients were positive for Human Metapneumovirus. The patients concerned have been transferred to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment under isolation and are in stable condition. The staff member is on sick leave.
Admission to the ward has been suspended and restricted visiting to the ward has been imposed. Infection control measures have already been stepped up according to established guidelines. All other patients in the ward concerned are under close surveillance.
The cases have been reported to the Hospital Authority Head Office and the Centre for Health Protection for necessary follow-up."
