" CHOLERA outbreak in Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi has claimed the life of three persons, even as the people of the area have been told to adopt healthy lifestyles in order to avoid the spread of contagious diseases.
Speaking while receiving the drugs donated to the victims by a member representing Lere/Bula state constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Honourable Iliyasu Zwall, the Medical Officer of Boto General hospital, Dr Adamu Sambo, confirmed the deaths but refused to give the actual figure of the victims.
He stated that everything should be done to prevent the spread of the disease to other parts of the state and called on the government, relevant agencies and organisations to intervene.
Also speaking at the event, the donor of the drugs, Honourable Zwall, said he donated the drugs to alleviate the sufferings of victims, promising to raise the matter on the floor of the House of Assembly with a view to finding a solution to the epidemic.
He condoled the families of the deceased victims over the loss of their loved ones as a result of the epidemic, praying to God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss."
