India : 4 cases a day, dengue spreads tentacles

" LUDHIANA: Dengue is spreading its tentacles with almost four cases being reported every day in the last two months, but the health department is yet to feel the sting. Suman Devi, 55, a resident of Khanna and suspected dengue patient, died on Tuesday night in SPS Apollo Hospital. As many as 240 patients from the city have tested positive for the disease from July 1 till date.

Residents complained sprays were not being conducted to check the disease.

With the count rising, 153 positive patients had been admitted to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), 74 to Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) and 13 to SPS Apollo Group of Hospitals in the season."
