" Two patients of dengue fever died here on Tuesday. According to details, Sajid Ilyas (22) of Gulshan Ravi and Sarwar (52) of Madina Colony Shalimar road were diagnosed with dengue fever. Sajid was admitted to Services Hospital a couple of days ago where he died while Sarwar died at home.
The doctors said that death of Sajid occurred due to dengue shock syndrome and deficiency of platelets.
Meanwhile, 319 more people were confirmed with dengue fever today.
As many as 18 patients were tested with dengue fever positive at Jinnah Hospital, 127 in Mayo Hospital, 34 in Sheikh Zayed Hospital, one in Sir Ganga Ram, two in Services Hospital, and 137 in private hospitals of the provincial metropolis."
