Hong Kong : Public hospitals announce the latest Human Swine Influenza cases

Press release from Hong Kong's Centre for Health Protection :

" In response to the influenza situation in Hong Kong, the Hospital Authority (HA), in close collaboration with the Centre for Health Protection, has activated the enhanced monitoring system for severe influenza patients staying at the intensive care unit (ICU) of public hospitals. The HA spokesman today (March 9) announced that a 37-year-old female patient at Prince of Wales Hospital was confirmed influenza A. She is being treated at ICU in critical condition and receiving Tamiflu treatment. The hospital will continue to closely monitor her condition.

As at 2pm today, there were a total of nine influenza patients staying in the intensive care unit of public hospitals, including the above newly confirmed influenza case."
