" LIMBANG: The cholera outbreak in Limbang has recorded an increase from 98 cases to 147, with two serious cases being referred to the Miri Hospital.
According to Bukit Kota assemblyman Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail, the two patients, a pregnant woman and one suffering from renal problem, whose conditions had worsened as a result of late treatment.
He explained that the increase involved several new cases but the majority of them were old cases that had been treated and were well but needed to be quarantined.
“As of the new cases, it has actually decreased and this shows that there is an improvement and things are under control,” assured Dr Abdul Rahman.
The deputy chief minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George was quoted recently as saying the situation was under control."
