Hong Kong : Public hospitals announce latest Human Swine Influenza cases

" In response to the recent influenza situation in Hong Kong, the Hospital Authority (HA), in close collaboration with the Centre for Health Protection, has activated the enhanced monitoring system for severe influenza patients staying in the intensive care units of public hospitals. The HA spokesman today (February 24) announced that there is no new confirmed case of Human Swine Influenza (HSI). In addition, two HSI patients have succumbed due to continued deterioration of clinical condition, including an 87-year-old male patient at Queen Mary Hospital and a 75-year-old male patient at Tuen Mun Hospital. The hospitals expressed deep condolences to the patients' families.

As at 2pm today, there were a total of 20 influenza patients staying in the intensive care units of public hospitals."
