India : Swine flu isolation wards to be revived

Via The Hindu :

" HYDERABAD: With the re-emergence of swine flu and other viral diseases due to rains, the government has decided to revive the isolation wards for swine flu patients in all the 11 teaching hospitals and 17 district hospitals in the State. It has also decided to re-activate 24/7 epidemic cell in the Health Directorate here from Monday.

While there was no cause for panic in the wake of two deaths caused by swine flu, the government was alert and fully prepared to tackle the situation, Health Secretary P. V. Ramesh said on Sunday. Asserting that there would be no let-up in meeting the situation, he appealed to people not to get alarmed and visit the nearest notified government or private hospital if flu symptoms persisted and became severe."
