" KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 : Influenza A (H1N1) vaccinations have been administered to 341,074 frontliners and high-risk individuals as of June 11, said Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Mohd Ismail Merican.
From that number, 94,714 were Health Ministry personnel and 88,088 others from the police, armed forces, Fire and Rescue Department and Immigration personnel.
Another 158,272 were members of the public from the priority target group.
"We have about 34,000 vaccine doses left after providing them to high-risk individuals and members of the public categorised as a priority target group at 104 government health facilities nationwide since February," he added in a statement here Wednesday.
The high-risk group consists of pregnant women and those aged between 18 and 60 suffering from diabetes, kidney problems, morbid obesity or other chronic illnesses.
Malaysia had obtained 400,000 vaccine doses worth RM14 million to fight the epidemic, of which 200,000 doses were allocated to frontline health personnel.
Meanwhile, 771 new patients with influenza-like illness (ILI) symptoms have been warded for the week of June 6 to 12, compared to 782 in the previous week.
In the same period, 35 ILI clusters were reported in Penang, Johor and Selangor.
In Penang, 23 cases were detected at the Penang Matriculation College in Kepala Batas, Seberang Prai Utara, three cases in Kampung Sari Baru, Pagoh, Johor and nine cases at Kenzoplas Industries, Taman Megah in Kajang, Selangor.
No new deaths were reported, with the total number of deaths remaining at 88 cases."
