" Results of an official investigation indicated that only 8 percent of the adults in Macao who were not inoculated with the A/H1N1 vaccines have the natural antibody against the infectious flu virus, Macao's health chief said on Monday.
Since it was difficult for the health authorities to predict the development of the pandemic when the A/H1N1 flu broke out, it is necessary to adjust the prevention measures based on the situations of the flu, said Lei Chin Ion, director of Macao's Health Bureau, when attending a meeting of the inter-departmental Influenza Response and Coordination Center (IRCC) of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR).
Given countries around the world has lowered their pandemic alert level, the IRCC has advised local medical institutions to resume their daily operations but still called upon local citizens to get vaccinated against the A/H1N1 flu."
