" Bhubaneswar: Orissa’s health scenario is quite alarming as diarrhoea and cholera spreading to fresh areas of, reports state. More than 75 people lost their life due to the epidemic.
The water-borne disease spread to new areas in Ganjam, Kandhamal, Boudh, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Balangir and Angul districts.
In the mean time, a central team has visited the affected area to asses the situation. The team visited Kalayansinghpur, the worst-affected block of the Rayagada district.
Meanwhile the number of affected persons has touched 1,100. Death cases have also been reported from Nabarangpur, Balangir, Koraput, Nuapada and Bhadrak besides Rayagada districts."
