Via MOH Malaysia, the latest update from the Ministry. The numbers are increasing daily.
" Up until 8.00 am on 10 April 2010, the Ministry received a total of four (4) ILI cases clusters from two (2) states as follows:
1. Johor (3)
• SM Dato’ Syed Esa, Batu Pahat, Johor involving 2 students. 1 was treated in the hospital and discharged homea, meanwhile the other was given an outpatient treatment.
• 1 family from Taman Puteri, Kluang, Johor involving 6cases, where 4 was given outpatient outpatient treatment and 2 being treated in the hospital.
• Segamat Police Station lock up, Johor involving 3 cases among PATI inmates whereby 1 was admitted in the hospital and the rest was given outpatient treatment.
2. Perlis (1)
• PLKN Tasik Meranti (National Trainee Camp), Perlis involving 3 trainers, whereby all of them are admitted to the hospital.
Lab results for all the above cases have not been received yet.
Meanwhile, until 5:30 pm on 9 April 2010, the total cumulative cases that are still being treated at the in the wards in the country are 617 cases. Of these, 62 cases (10%) were confirmed positive influenza A (H1N1), while seven (7) cases treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). No reports of death received yesterday.
