The latest H1N1 from Malaysia's MOH, a very disturbing report - a clear indication that cluster cases have increased and the number of ICU patients has also increased with 5 having no risk factors BUT still it is being denied that we are in the second wave. Please read the excerpt I have posted. You can go to the website and read the whole report but you would need to use Google Translate. Excerpt:
" In total, during the last week (21 March to 27 March 2010) there was a decrease in the number of new cases with symptoms of Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) being treated at the hospital, with a total of 320 patients compared to 350 cases in the previous week (a decrease of 8.6%).
The remaining cases that are still being treated across the country on the last day of Week 12/2010 (March 27, 2010) are 371 cases (a decrease of 3.6% compared to the previous week) in 38 government hospitals and 7 private hospitals.
Of these, 25 patients or 6.7% were positive cases of Influenza A (H1N1) confirmed by laboratory tests. Total H1N1 cases until March 27, 2010 are 12,620. The number of cases being treated in the ICU is 11 compared to 8 cases in the previous week. Six patients treated in ICU have risk factors. No new death cases of H1N1has been reported and the total cumulative mortality remains 77 to date."
